Quality software can only be built with proper requirements capture. We can help capture requirements to achieve clear, concise and testable requirements.
We have experience in designing industrial strength software solutions requiring complex architectures integrating embedded systems (SoC, Linux), mobile platforms (iOS, Android) with IoT connectivity to cloud backed services (e.g. Azure).
We can design and document industrial strength software using formalisms such as UML class diagrams, statecharts, sequence diagrams, adhering to international standards (such as EN-50128 and IEEE-1558)
We can rely on a wide variety of tools in our software development toolbox to produce low-maintenance and robust code: C, C++, C#, Java, HTML/CSS, JS/TS, Python, SQL and various scripting languages (Bash/Perl/Sh/...)
Software testing (based on testable requirements) is vital to producing quality solutions.
Besides unit-testing, we strongly believe that automated testing can help to reduce costs and improve maintainability.
To achieve this goal, we have developed environmental simulators integrated with automated test tools (TestComplete).
Besides integrating custom made solutions, we have experience with integrating existing of-the-shelf hardware with open (MQTT, REST, SOAP, RPC, Modbus, OCPP, ...) or proprietary interfaces.
When it comes to running software, we have extensive knowledge in combining embedded, bare metal, virtualized environments (hosted locally or in the cloud) with or without containerization.
Bram De Wachter is a Tech Enthusiast and Civil Engineer who holds a PhD in Computer Sciences (formal methods for distributed systems) from the University of Brussels (ULB).
He has worked for Bombardier Transportation (Railway Industry) as a consultant and was responsible for the design, implementation and customization of Bombardier's Passenger Information System (PPC based embedded system). He later joined the wayside team on Bombardier's Orbiflo Project.
He has an international experience (France, 3 years), (Canada, 3 years), (India, 2y) and speaks fluent Dutch, French and English.
From 2013 onwards, he was co-founder and CTO of Limitrix, where he continued to deliver software to Bombardier. During that time, Limitrix grew to a small team of 12 developers and testers located in Belgium, India and Ukraine.
Within this period, he helped Limitrix achieve ISO-9001 qualification.
From 2021 onwards, within Limitrix, he was the architect and lead developer of an Energy Management System (Elizze) which consists of custom made Hardware (which was CE-Certified), running .NetCore on ARM/Linux and C/C++ on ESP23/FreeRTOS, a .Net MAUI mobile app on iOS/Android and a cloud backend .NetCore/Blazor on Azure with multiple third-party APIs (Docker, Zigbee2Mqtt, OCPP, Modbus, e-MUCS P1, Google, Weather, ...).
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his two kids, plays the piano and enjoys riding his motorcycle.
